Camp Counselor
I’m Emily, one of the camp counselors in the summer program!
I am super excited and grateful to receive an opportunity where I can help mentor young girls. I’m a 15-year-old young native American woman. I was in a leadership program with my best friend Francesca guiding younger students. I’m a big sister and aunt, so I definitely have experience with kids and love caring for them.
Over this unexpected quarantine I have found a passion for painting. I love how relaxing and creative it can be! In addition, I love going to the beach and boogie boarding. I lived in Arizona for seven years and when my family I moved to Carlsbad we were at the beach almost every day! Lastly, I enjoy tumbling and doing gymnastics, I actually competed for a year and place first in the state. Unfortunately when the pandemic hit, I had to adapt to the change and find various new hobbies. Summer is my favorite time of the year because you can hang out, meet new friends, and have endless fun!
I’m so excited for this summer, I know it’s going to be a blast!

Hello my name is Francesca!
I’m one of the camp counselors this summer and I am beyond excited. I am so thrilled to be able to lead young women on a successful path and have an amazing summer! Some fun facts about me are that I love dancing, I love traveling ,and I am bilingual! I am fluent in English and Spanish and I am Peruvian. Another fact about me is that I was in a leadership program mentoring younger students with my best friend Emily. Finally, I also enjoy going to the beach and hanging out with friends.
This summer will be one to remember!
